In our efforts to finalize our conference agenda, we’re meeting with many local entrepreneurs that simply inspire us. One person we were introduced to recently was Michael Forsyth of Detroit City Distillery. Tomorrow they are releasing their Four Grain Bourbon to complement their award winning whiskies at their distillery in Detroit (Click Here For More Information: https://fb.me/e/CZE7tIxm).
We’re looking forward to speaking with Mike in the coming days to understand more about his path from urban planning to distillery owner and consultant to the Live6 Alliance (with a mission to “enhance the quality of life and economic opportunity in Northwest Detroit”).
We truly believe that those with the hustle "spirit" never stop hustling. In that relentless pursuit of purpose and success, they help to improve their own situations while simultaneously improving the prospects of all those in the communities where they live and work.
SO, if you’re not already going and you are going to be in the Detroit area Friday September 3, 2021, please feel free to stop in and try their new single barrel bourbons!
And if you can’t stop in, keep them on your radar. For more info about Detroit City Distillery, please click here.
Lastly - what is bourbon. According to Wording it’s “a whiskey distilled from a fermented mash containing not less than 51 percent corn in addition to malt and rye.” Here’s wikipedia’s page about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bourbon_whiskey.
And according to The Mash and Drum, here are 5 things you might want to know about Bourbon and Whiskey when starting to drink them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QlZRFUPeKQ
